For preserves that need to be heat treated, the two-part sealing cap and full lid ensure a tight seal the first time for a long-term shelf life. The full lid means you don't have to worry about handling the cap once your canned goods have been opened and stored in the refrigerator. The cap and lid allow you to can in bulk with one-, two- or three-liter jars. For preserves that don't need to be heat treated, the bright orange screw-top lid screws on and off easily and clearly identify which of your canned goods have been heating treated in the pantry or refrigerator. Made from flexible yet sturdy plastic, these durable lids won't rust or corrode, and they can be washed and reused.
